About

With over 20 years of experience in the swimming pool and spa service industry, our founder Todd Harbert knew there had to be a more efficient way to winterize pools and spas. With the increase in automatic pool covers, salt water pools, vinyl liner and fiberglass pools it just doesn't make sense to drain water from the pool. This, along with the time savings for service technicians led to the creation of the Blow-N-Close.

Beach Ball in Pool

Mission

To develop a full proof winterization plug that can be used to evacuate all water in a pool/spa plumbing system regardless of the number of wall fittings without the need to lower the water level.

Benefits

  • No waste of water

  • No waste of salt

  • Safer for automatic pool covers

  • Safer for vinyl liner/fiberglass pools

  • Closable plug with no flimsy check valves

  • Ability to isolate individual wall fittings

Directions For Use

Install Blow-N-Close plugs in all wall fittings, open each Blow-N-Close plug, turn on air blower to evacuate all water from plumbing, close each Blow-N-Close plug one at a time starting with the one blowing out the most air and continue in that order with the air blower running. Once the last Blow-N-Close plug is closed the air blower can be turned off. Add antifreeze to plumbing and blow out each Blow-N-Close plug individually in the same order they were closed, closing each one once antifreeze comes out. Be sure not to turn off blower while any Blow-N-Close plugs are open or water can re-enter plumbing. Once all plugs are closed, turn each Blow-N-Close 1/4 turn clockwise to seal. NOTE: if any air bubbles are present between the wall fitting and Blow-N-Close plug, you may have a damaged wall fitting and it will need repaired for a reliable seal.
